I started out as a project manager for this redesign, but I was contributing so much on both fronts, that I was given the opportunity to wear the two hats. I found it to be a welcome feeling, where 'flow' and efficiency meshed.
I created a mind map of the potential future state of the project from where I could see it there and then.
And then I broke it down to the essentials, yet considering the future growth of the company and the product.
This clarity was well received by the client, and allowed us to define scope and actually keep to it.
A clear and simple sitemap was approved by the client and wireframing began.
