Logistics Application

Usability Testing

Solution

Evidence

A "frankenstein" half production, half prototype version

EVIDENCE

PROCESS

User research and observations found that the users utilized a driver based association with orders. The initial routing screen was developed to address that insight. User adoption of this view demonstrated that the view had usability issues. In order to determine if the improved version addressed these issues, this usability test was conducted.

While a React App was being developed, it was decided to test the new screens in a production setting using the current Knockout.js stack.

Screens

The previous screens key pain points where addressed by the versions of the screen that were tested.

Participants:

The two participants are current users of the application. The nature of a small sample size means that the information gathered is qualitative in nature.

CHALLENGE

Learning goals:

The business requirements for the usability test.

OUTCOME

Seeing as this was a "frankenstein version", I thought it would have been better to show a well done prototype than a half-done production version.
